NAPLES, FL (June 14, 2012) — Purely You Spa has introduced a new massage treatment that in fact, does not involve traditional kneading of muscles and touching of skin. Fully clothed, lying comfortably on a massage table, guests can experience the Esoteric Healing Body Treatment, a process of healing through energy.
Owner of Purely You Spa Jennifer Alvarez says this new treatment goes beyond the physical to include a more subtle energy impacting our emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, a philosophy she has espoused since opening her organic, certified spa in Naples three years ago. The Esoteric Healing Body Treatment utilizes spiritual healing principles and works by channeling the flow of energy to allow healing to occur.
The treatment lasts 45 minutes to an hour and usually requires more than one session. It may take multiple treatments to achieve the full effect, as the work continues to take place even after the session is over. Spa guests are asked to bring a list of at least three things they have struggled with in the past that continue to concern them.

“This is called setting the intention and will act as a guide for me in the healing session. We will begin by grounding the client, and balancing the chakras so they are ready to receive the work,” says Purely You Licensed Massage Therapist and Spa Coordinator Renee Walsh, who has been instrumental in developing this unique treatment program for the spa.

“I take notes throughout the session to share what I felt and sensed during the work. At the end, I will speak with the guest about it.” The guest has an opportunity to talk about the experience or they may simply relax and just absorb the work and allow it to continue. “We recommend that over the coming days and weeks, guests arrange for some quiet time to reflect on any changing thoughts, feelings and actions and keep a journal.” Walsh describes the process of esoteric healing as “all living beings are made of energy, and thus channel source energy through our major energy points, commonly known as the Chakra system and minor energy points (commonly used in acupuncture) called Nadis. It is through these energy vortices that we vitalize our nervous system, endocrine system, blood and organs. All thoughts, emotions and spiritual aspirations have a vibration that emanates around the physical body, commonly called the Aura. When we are out of harmony with nature or our highest self, we create negative thought forms and/or emotions, thus blocking the energy flow.”
